CVBTB Standard Operating Procedures: In collaboration with neurooncologists, neuropathologists, technicians, researchers and scientists within the various institutions of the CVBTB, the CVBTB is committed to developing standard operating procedures and establishing standards for the following aspects of brain tumour tissue banking:
- Blood and Tissue Sample Collection
- Sample Preservation and Archiving
- Pathological Annotation For Each Sample
- Distribution and Shipment of Samples
The CVBTB is currently in the process of developing standard operating procedures that can be compliant with each participating site within the CVBTB to ensure a consistent method of collection, storage and shipment.
